Collective Climate Action
A central premise to our work is that social equity is fundamental to healthy, thriving, and resilient communities, and that equitable processes are necessary for creating just outcomes.
We believe that building capacity for collaborative governance enables more voices to shape community decisions, and creates conditions for more resilient communities. We are inspired by frameworks like Community-Driven Resilience Planning, Just Transition, and The Spectrum of Community Engagement to Ownership. We work with local governments and organizations to design processes that account for the space and time to build trusting relationships, question internal biases, reflect on processes, and advance collective learning.
In partnership with communities, we facilitate conversations and storytelling, design participatory workshops, support policy-development working groups, and more, in order to collectively build understanding of climate change and social resilience, identify community priorities, and take action. We develop plans, action toolkits, prioritization tools, and other resources to equitably and holistically address climate change in ways that intersect with housing, transportation, ecosystems, economic development, and health.
