118 Prospect Street is a Net Zero Ready building pursuing Passive House certification in support of the City of Somerville’s Climate Forward plan, a strategic plan for reaching net-zero emissions. Under the PHIUS 2021 program, the 29-unit multi-family development incorporates high-efficiency HVAC systems along with an incredibly air-tight thermal envelope. As the project’s Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC), Linnean worked closely with the design team and ownership to provide technical guidance throughout the design process, along with the WUFI energy modeling required by PHIUS.
